This week four of our Operations team have gone back to school.
Stuart, Jack, Chris and Rob along with a handful of our skippers are in Hythe for the week completing their STCW 95 (Standards of Training, Certification & Watchkeeping) course, a requirement for commercial work on vessels over 24 metres.
With first aid, sea survival, firefighting and prevention, security awareness and personal safety and social responsibility making up part of this five day course the team will be taught how to respond to any emergency that should arise whilst working on commercial boats.
The course is the start of the teams intensive winter training scheduled ensuring that all of our skippers are qualified to the highest possible standards, maximising both safety and enjoyment on all of our charters.
We all wish the team the best of luck…
