The exhilarating inshore racing takes place in some of the most iconic harbours around the globe and is coming back to Cowes in August 2020 for Season 2!

Cowes will be the fourth event in the SailGP Season 2 event which commences in Sydney next February, followed by San Francisco in May and New York in June. We are still waiting for the remaining schedule to be announced.

Cowes SailGP will once again cross over with Cowes Week, however this time at the end of the renowned regatta on the 14th & 15th August 2020.

SailGP Cowes Raceday

For those who didn’t catch the excitement last year, the racing is short, sharp ‘stadium racing’ just off Egypt Point in Cowes where over 24,000 people turned out to watch the action in 2019! Spectators were not disappointed, Cowes SailGP 2019 saw the 50-knot speed barrier record smashed by the Australia SailGP Team before they went on to win Cowes SailGP title!

For 2020, SailGP are planning to excel their Season 1 performance in Cowes with a ticketed spectator area at Egypt Point, as well as expanded hospitality opportunities. Here at Solent Rib Charter, we will of course be watching the action from the water once again.
