The Rolex Fastnet Race first began in 1925 and has quickly grown to become arguably one of the greatest ocean racing events in the world. With over 300 competitors now taking part in the event it really is quite a spectacle to watch the boats start their 600 + mile race.
The course generally takes competitors up to 5 days to complete. The race starts from the Solent heading west out past The Needles, across to the south-west coast of Ireland around the famous Fastnet Rock and then back over to finish in Plymouth.
Competitors will be faced with a complete spectrum of challenges during the race, battling ripping tides and strong winds all in the name of the Rolex Fastnet Cup.
Most of our Rib fleet are now booked out for the day, which shows you just how popular the event is!
