The UK's largest natural harbour is probably its most beautiful, formed by wide open calm waters (no speed limits out of season) and large protected areas of natural beauty including the National Trust's Brownsea Island.
Rib charter or bareboat Rib charter (without a skipper), is ideal for exploration of the harbour and nearby Jurassic coast, with Studland Bay and Swanage an easy run past Old Harry's rocks.
The Ribs are positioned in the Town Quay marina, right next to the busy quay. Although a great Rib area, please be aware that Poole is more restricted by weather than the Solent.
If you plan to run from Poole to the Solent, it is worth considering starting your charter in the Solent itself (Lymington is the closest port) as you are much less likely to be adversely affected by wind given the shelter provided by the Island.
