Charity - 2012
Solent Rib Charter are delighted to announce that the Ellen MacArthur Trust is once again our charity of the year for 2012. We work with the Trust to provide free Rib events for children recovering from cancer. The Trust run a very successful programme that has now expanded to include every hospital in the United Kingdom specialising in childhood oncology.
Judging from the feedback, the Rib trips seem to be the single most popular part of the week long trip and we are delighted to be able to use the Ribs to such good effect.
Environment
All of our Ribs now run with fuel efficient four stroke engines. We have also fitted the latest fuel flow meters across the fleet. With a well policed environmental policy, we are making real inroads into both carbon burn and pollution prevention.
Safety
We try and emulate the same attention to safety and good operating practice that airlines have developed. We go beyond our superb insurance cover to actively minimise risks within our operation. We have risk assessments for every aspect of our operation and a comprehensive Health and Safety Policy.
Quality
Solent Rib Charter operates a comprehensive Quality Management System. We have worked with a leading quality consultancy to develop a system that goes beyond box ticking to ensure that we can achieve consistency in our processes throughout the organisation. It is this level of detail and professionalism that has made us the preferred Rib supplier to many if not most of the most prestigious water related organisations who charter or hire Ribs, from the Royal Navy to the 2012 Olympics.
